Service of Readings and Carols 2016

At the Service of Readings and Carols held at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon on 18 December 2016, our choir sang a number of carols with the adult choir of the Anglican Church of Gisborne. The service commenced traditionally with Once in royal David’s city, the first verse sung by Aiofe Harkin of Young Voices. Represented in the programme were carols by John Rutter and Gustave Holst, and an arrangement of the lovely French carol Entre le boeuf et l’ane gris was sung by the senior Madrigali group. Our Vivo group contributed the Rocking carol and the first verse of Away in a manger. This impressive service marked the end of a very busy and successful year.
