Young Voices of Macedon sing their 15th Service of Readings and Carols at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon

2025 ended in the customary manner with the Service of Readings and Carols at the Church of the Resurrection, Macedon, when the children had the experience of singing with a substantial adult choir that included singers from the Australian Chamber Choir, along with pipe organ and solo flute. The service commenced with our soloist Arthur McArdle singing the first verse of the processional carol Once in royal David’s city in a program that embraced English, German, Russian and Australian carols (choral and congregational), including the much-loved Shepherd’s Carol by English composer John Rutter. Our young Vivo group excelled themselves with their singing of the first verse of Away in a manger, accompanied by Celtic harp.
